Chelsea vs. Liverpool

Current Situation: For Friday Night Football the Premier League has put together an exciting match up from what appears to be two of the most improved teams from last season. Liverpool so far this year has had thrilling wins over the Arsenal and Leicester while being shocked in an away match against Burnley month. Chelsea had a perfect start to their season before narrowly escaping defeat in a 2-2 draw against Swansea last week.

Players to Watch: For Liverpool the attacking duo of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will be the players to watch. Both are off to a blazing start this campaign and appear to be scoring for fun. For Chelsea, all eyes will be on Eden Hazard. After having a poor season last year, he seems to be in-form and back to his captivating self.

Prediction: I’m predicting a high scoring affair that sees Chelsea edging out Liverpool 3-2 at home.

Manchester City vs. Bournemouth

Current Situation: After being the survival darlings of 2016 Bournemouth are out to do it again after (quite surprisingly) signing Jack Wilshere on loan from Arsenal, the Cherries appear to be serious about staying in the Premier League for another year! Manchester City enter this encounter as the Goliath of the contest. They are off to a hot start and have yet to drop any points under new manager Pep Guardiola.

Players to Watch: Bournemouth will be counting on the aforementioned Wilshere to help run their attack and try to stabilize the midfield against the far superior Manchester City squad. His ability to do so will help determine the match. For Man City I will be keeping an eye on Sergio Aguero. He’s coming off of a hat trick in the Champion’s League on Tuesday,

Prediction: Man City just has too much firepower. I’m predicting a blow out of 4-1 to the Citizens.

Hull City vs. Arsenal

Current Situation: Arsenal started the season by stumbling out of the gates with just 1 point through the first 2 games. However, after getting 6 points from their last 2 games the Gunners look poised to climb the table and make a push to work their way up to a title challenge. Hull City has been one of the surprises of the season after stealing a win against last years Champions Leicester, Hull finds themselves in the top half of the table.

Players to Watch: For Arsenal, I think Mesut Ozil will be the key to victory. He’ll be needing to see plenty of the ball and create a swathe of chances for the Gunners if they expect to break through what will be a deep lying back line for Hull. Hull City will depend largely on their defense and will likely concede possession for security. Curtis Davies will be an important part of the effort to do that, he’ll need to effectively lead the backline for Hull in order for them to escape this match without a loss.

Prediction: Hull City has had a great start to their season but I see the Gunners taking all 3 points back to London with them. 3-1 to the Arsenal.

Watford vs. Manchester United

Current Situation: After a hot start to the season which saw many consider Man United as title favorites, the Red Devils have been pegged back after losing to their cross-town rivals in the most recent Premier League outing and also saw themselves lose to the Dutch side Feyenoord in their Europa League match this week.

Players to Watch: The man known simply as Zlatan will be the one to watch for Man United. He’s off to a hot start this season and I expect him to put one away against an inferior Watford defense. For Watford, Troy Deeney will be a key player. He scored a marvelous chip in their most recent match against West Ham that played a key part in their 4-2 victory over the Hammers.

Prediction: I’m picking Watford to hold their ground at home and come away with a 2-2 draw against Man United.
